“Two Paths Merging into One”
On many levels this is the essence of how Two Paths Massage Studio came to be.
Two artists, a dancer and a musician, both with ties to the same summer stock theatre, become friends and find that they’re both massage therapists as well. A dream formed in the Midwest comes to fruition here in the Pacific Northwest when in December of 2015, Mindy Meyers and Troy Benton relocated from Chicago, IL to the Sellwood Neighborhood of Portland, OR. Together they bring 30 years of experience in the massage therapy field. Two therapists offering different styles while sharing the same destination of positive change for their clients.
Two Paths Massage Studio is our home for practicing health, healing and well being. Welcome!

Mindy is thrilled to be here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest after relocating from Chicago, IL. She brings with her 19 years of experience in massage therapy coupled with 30 plus years of dancing professionally. This allows her to provide extremely intuitive and effective bodywork entwining several modalities including Myofascial, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Sports and Table Thai Massage. Her forte is connectivity. An emphasis on your specific injuries, pain or concerns will be integrated thoroughly, providing you with a sense of completeness. A graduate of Western Michigan University’s Department of Dance, The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and Sellwood Yoga’s Teacher Training, Mindy has dedicated her life to moving as efficiently and comfortably as possible and desires everyone to have the opportunity to experience living optimally in their bodies. Struggling for years with a hamstring injury, it was receiving massage therapy that finally facilitated the changes that were necessary to heal and move beyond the pain and restrictions. This life altering experience was the catalyst for her choosing the path of a massage therapist.

Troy relocated to Portland from Chicago and couldn’t be happier to call himself a Pacific North Westerner. Originally intending to become a surgeon, he left medical school to pursue a career in the arts and has since enjoyed a successful career as a professional musician and composer. In 2006, after suffering with knee pain and being given the option of surgery, he tried chiropractic treatment at the suggestion of a friend. This led him to a massage therapist which produced amazing results, eliminating the need for surgery altogether. This experience brought Troy full circle back into the healing profession. In 2009 he received his degree in Massage Therapy and soon after partnered with a Master Herbalist to open a massage and wellness clinic. Together they were able to provide health and wellness to the community. With his medical background, Troy brings a strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to his massage practice. Specializing in injury recovery, he creates an individualized treatment protocol by utilizing Deep Tissue, Myofascial, Neuromuscular and Trigger Point therapies to help his clients achieve their goals. A Reiki Master/Teacher as well, Troy has a very intuitive, whole being approach to health and healing.
Mindy Meyers is my preferred therapist for chronic shoulder and neck issues. When I was in medical school and studying for my board exam many hours per day, I worked with her regularly to address the chronic neck/shoulder strain that came along with hitting the books so hard. After working with her, I was able to get through my entire eight hour exam day without any distractions from neck or shoulder pain. Mindy was truly essential to my success on that important exam, and I do not think I would have trusted any other therapist with this work. Speaking as a physician and an anatomist, I can state that Mindy’s knowledge of anatomy is extensive. This knowledge is immediately tangible to me as a client – her hands have a wisdom that you can feel. I would enthusiastically recommend her to any of my patients with acute or chronic musculoskeletal issues.Robynne Braun
Mindy is the kind of massage therapist who not only reads but learns your body. Bringing the physical empathetic understanding of a dancer to her work, Mindy’s deep listening results in care that is lasting. She approaches massage like the physical practice that it is, breathing with you through the tough spots, coaching you through guided movement patterns, and giving you real solutions to daily pain management.Meghann Wilkinson
You know how some massage therapists are great technicians, but fall short on the bedside manner/spiritual element? And then there are those who have the right vibe, but lack the physical strength and ability to really dig deep (pun intended). The beauty of Mindy is that she combines expert technical skill with a caring personal touch. Her approach is fully holistic. At the end of a session, you are revived in both body & soul.Petra
Mindy is amazing! I started working with Mindy over 10 years ago based on a recommendation from a trusted friend, who knows I’m very picky about massages. I’ve had too many massages go awry, as many people equate a deep tissue massage to pushing hard all over my body, resulting in bruises. Mindy’s knowledge of the body and expertise in addressing specific issues is unparalleled. She couples the physical aspect with a great approach to the mental state of mind, which results in a state of bliss and relaxation. I have not found another massage that comes close to a Mindy experience.Sandra Oi
Troy is completely qualified and extremely kind. I was injured at the time of my massage and he was very knowledgeable in how to avoid areas of pain and target other points to lessen it. Highly recommended.Erin O.
Fantastic experience! Troy is great at evaluating and communicating with his clients, listens and takes note to any concerns they may have. He’s skilled in a variety of modalities and energy work and if you are new to getting a massage, he will gladly help you figure out what is best for you.Nina P.
Troy was one of my favorite massage therapists to work with. Friendly and professional, he has a very calming energy and does great work. Once you are on the table, it’s very hard to not relax and get comfortable. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for one of the best massages.Gypsy Spirit
Troy is amazing!! I recommend him very highly. I had gone to other bodywork professionals, but couldn’t get the help I needed. I have a very finicky piriformis and he gave me so much relief. He also gave me exercises to do between massages. He’s fantastic!!Penelope A.
Finally found my forever masseuse. Troy’s massages are true therapy. As aches and pains start creeping in Troy knows how to get me back in good form without me having to tell him what needs attention. So relaxing too. Thanks, Troy!Summy T.

Reiki Boundless Life Force Energy
The word Reiki (Pronounced Ray-Key) is made up of two parts:
“Rei” – The universal, boundless aspect of energy.
“Ki” – The vital life force energy that flows through all living things.
Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-invasive healing technique. It complements any medical treatment by stimulating the body’s own natural healing process. Reiki has no bad side effects, it reduces stress, pain, and promotes deep relaxation. Reiki is performed by using a series of hand positions placed on or close to the body. Reiki is given while the patient is fully clothed and lying
comfortably on a massage table.
Gentle, but powerful, Reiki promotes healing on physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels. Reiki works to remove blockages or imbalances in the body’s subtle energy systems that are within, on and surround the body. It is a natural healing art that creates increased overall health and wellbeing and can best be viewed when considering that energy is the patient and energy is the
